Marie Leautey: Started triathlons in Scotland in 2005 and arrived to Greece in 2006 determined to keep on racing at the week-ends. Was surprised to discover that no triathlons were being held on this absolutely ideal place for the sport... Organised the 1st Edition on 12th May 2007. Since then, with the support of husband Leonidas, co-organise the unique 4-a-year Series of Triathlons.
Leonidas Athanasopoulos: Simply offered to help providing a website after the first Schiniathlon. Now married to Marie, co-organiser of the event, and deeply affected by the Triathlon Virus! Determined to spread the word and to challenge himself over triathlons and other multi-sports challenges.
Dimitris Moraitis: Owner of the Schinias Sports Center, fond of sports. Offered to host the event at its 1st Edition on 12th May 2007. Since then, the resort is strongly associated with the growth of the Schiniathlon event, due to Dimitris constant support. The resort some days look more like a triathlon training base that the Water-Sports Centre it originally is!
