23/09/2007 News: The Schiniathlon Organisation Team - Dimitris Moraitis, Elias and Marie - would like to send you a huge huge THANK YOU for yesterday…. You have given us a fantastic day by your presence, efforts and smiles ! You were 75 to take part in this second edition and this is a very high turn-up rate considering the weather was not necessarily on our side. The Gods gave us the best conditions for the 1st Schiniathlon in May… and they thought it was too easy – This time they gave us strong wind to make the event a bit more spicy – but you came around… and made it WITH A SMILE !! Check out the Photo Gallery on the website, Leonidas has already updated the website. Many many many thanks to all of you, it’s a great reward to see you all so beautiful and smily !! Let us send all credits to Dimitris Moraitis, who is ever so happy to let you all use his resort as a big playground. Dimnitris once again provided us with the best commodities, coordinated and supervised the event… even used his two children as Marshalls !... and arranged for a very nice curry buffet for post-race celebration ! Time also to thank the sponsors who gave us so much comfort and support : all these drinks that you had on the course were provided by Leonardos from Isostar, and he has been very generous with the drinks. Coca Cola 3E provided for all the water and powerade, juices and coke. Mike Koumartzakis from Figame Travel gave us the Winner’s Trophies. And Spyros from Thirdwind Company offered us the little GU Gels. This combination of efforts and help we get from you all allows us to host such a great event… We are hoping that the event will grow better as much as it grows bigger. Always trying to improve, we are open to all suggestion, advice and help that you can give us. The pictures are on-line, and the results should be there today as well (if not today, Monday for sure) – we’re waiting for the time-keeping team to send it over to us.
